Fundinho's Luís Fabiano Matos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Fundinho from getting a goal against them. Gonçalo Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Cacá Furlan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arapapa AD's Cássio Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Leme in the 13th minute of play. If Allan Leme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 20 played minutes Fundinho got a freekick which was hit by Jânio Brito. 28 minutes into the match, Fundinho's Tarcisio Matos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cássio Braga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 30th match minute, Arapapa AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Vidal to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Tarcisio Matos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cássio Braga was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cacá Furlan to make the kick off. When Cícero Novaes fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fundinho's protests and gave Cícero Novaes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute Cacá Furlan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fabiano Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arapapa AD's Cássio Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarcisio Matos in the 62nd minute of play. 67 minutes in the game, Tarcisio Matos dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. With a little luck, Arapapa AD's Cássio Braga got control of the ball when Allan Leme tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Tarcisio Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arapapa AD's goalkeeper Cássio Braga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match was over Fundinho could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Arapapa AD throughout the match.
