Maurinho Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Braga having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Temerante's zone, Cacá Furlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laerte Sampaio came out of the goal and Cacá Furlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomé Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Braga having to interfere. If Cacá Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the match, Temerante's goal looked a bit too open when Gonçalo Rocha came free, but Laerte Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laerte Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cacá Furlan in the 28th minute of the match. The corner ended in Silvério Soares almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Temerante's Laerte Sampaio did a great save. Cacá Furlan took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laerte Sampaio. Laerte Sampaio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 40 minutes into the match, Arapapa AD's Cacá Furlan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laerte Sampaio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Arapapa AD booed when Temerante was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurinho Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonçalo Rocha took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Laerte Sampaio. Laerte Sampaio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The Temerante players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Arapapa AD were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maurinho Macedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Arapapa AD's Silvério Soares got a free kick in the 55th minute. Maurinho Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio Braga having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Temerante's goalkeeper Laerte Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cacá Furlan. In the 63rd minute, Serginho Vidal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gonçalo Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Laerte Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Laerte Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonçalo Rocha in the 69th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Tomé Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Temerante's Laerte Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Rocha in the 72nd minute of play. 0-4 became the score in the 74th minute when Cacá Furlan elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anísio Batista in the 77th minute of play forced Temerante's goalkeeper Laerte Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arapapa AD's Gonçalo Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maurinho Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serginho Vidal struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Laerte Sampaio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arapapa AD. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Arapapa AD eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
