Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Basílio Eger started the match with the kick off. In the 11th minute of the match Tubaca got a corner. Cornelios's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Caco Braga ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, Cornelios's Bebeto Pitta got control of the ball when Arthur Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Cornelios's goal looked a bit too open when Cícero Montenegro came free, but Bebeto Pitta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimir Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. André Luís Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Luís Trigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Luz in the 23rd minute of the match. Tubaca's André Luís Trigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladimir Luz in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Arnaldo Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basílio Eger in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Luís Trigo saved Tubaca from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgard Lara during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 31 minutes into the game, one of Cornelios:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Caco Braga placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! If Arthur Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vladimir Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. André Luís Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Basílio Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cícero Montenegro made a kick off. Cornelios's Bebeto Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arthur Carvalho in the 52nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vladimir Luz got free with André Luís Trigo in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Cornelios's Ulisses de Carvalho got a free kick in the 56th minute. If Arthur Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the game, Arthur Carvalho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Bebeto Pitta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th minute, Edgard Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Vladimir Luz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving André Luís Trigo. That made the score 1-1 in the 72 minute of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Basílio Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cornelios's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basílio Eger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 78 minutes into the game, Tubaca's Cícero Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bebeto Pitta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Vladimir Luz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but André Luís Trigo made a huge save. Yan Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Tubaca's goal looked a bit too open when Basílio Eger came free, but André Luís Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tubaca fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cornelios had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
