Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Flávio Abraão dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Júnior Marinho, 1-0. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Flávio Abraão sped through Caroa's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Júnior Marinho. Pedrão Pitta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Júnior Marinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlinhos Godoi in the 20th minute. Caroa's Júnior Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Abraão in the 23rd minute of play. If Flávio Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlinhos Godoi got free with Júnior Marinho in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 32 played minutes Caroa got a freekick which was hit by André Luís da Silveira. Júnior Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Wiliam Linhares's late challenge caught a Jaguarary FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wiliam Linhares helped the player get up and apologised. Wiliam Linhares hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Carlinhos Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaguarary FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlinhos Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júnior Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute Flávio Abraão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júnior Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Caroa getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Carlos Alberto Baiano hit a great ball. In the 55th match minute, Caroa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro de Queirós to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Jaguarary FC booed when Caroa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luís da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júnior Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flávio Abraão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernesto Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Júnior Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Abraão in the 64th minute of play. Doni Félix charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Doni Félix the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Caroa's Doni Félix got a free kick in the 66th minute. When Jaguarary FC's Flávio Abraão in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caroa's goalie prevented a goal.
