When Lucas Cerezo came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the ANHUMAS ESPORTE CLUBE fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Cerezo couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dito Barral got free with Leopoldo Sabóia in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd minute of the match Luiz Eduardo Soeiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leopoldo Sabóia skillfully saved the ball. Leopoldo Sabóia was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Luizão Vargas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luizão Vargas really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. After the first half ANHUMAS ESPORTE CLUBE were leading 2-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
