Oscar de Mendonça hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osvaldo de Godoy in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emílio Goiano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Pedreiras FC's Aleandro Nogueira got a free kick in the 8th minute. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Osvaldo de Godoy sped through Pedreiras FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emílio Goiano. After a rather tough play, Caratuva's Benedykt Pyrzyce got a free kick in the 11th minute. Dagoberto Terra's late challenge caught a Pedreiras FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dagoberto Terra helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Caratuva getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Dagoberto Terra hit a great ball. If Osvaldo de Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Osvaldo de Godoy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sydney Marquez during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Pedreiras FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Sydney Marquez hit a great ball. Aleandro Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elano Esteves having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Pedreiras FC got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Quintal. Emílio Goiano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedykt Pyrzyce, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 35th minute Caratuva were awarded a corner. Osvaldo de Godoy went to the cornerflag to take it. Oscar de Mendonça hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Lucas Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Dagoberto Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute of the match Caratuva got a corner. Pedreiras FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Osvaldo de Godoy ran over to the corner to take the kick. Osvaldo de Godoy made a great header on Caratuva's corner, it was just that Pedreiras FC's Emílio Goiano managed to reach the ball for a save. If Osvaldo de Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chico Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 74 in the game by Osvaldo de Godoy from a close distance when the talented Emílio Goiano managed to make a qualified save. Pedreiras FC's players were relieved. Osvaldo de Godoys short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Emílio Goiano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Dagoberto Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo de Godoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Emílio Goiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pedreiras FC's zone, Chico Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Goiano came out of the goal and Chico Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emílio Goiano acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 82nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from João Vítor Eger. After a defensive mix-up in Pedreiras FC's zone, Osvaldo de Godoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emílio Goiano came out of the goal and Osvaldo de Godoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Elano Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Rodrigues in the 95th minute of the match. The supporters of Pedreiras FC booed when Caratuva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedykt Pyrzyce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedreiras FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Caratuva had controlled the match.
