Buracao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The supporters of Cassino booed when Buracao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Buracao's zone, Nilmar Sampaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elano do Valle during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 84 played minutes Buracao got a freekick which was hit by Elano do Valle. If Christian Cardoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Renan Rossi came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Cassino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renan Rossi couldn't finish the play.
