Edson Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Figueiredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Vitinho Pontes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edson Saldanha was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Vitinho Pontes charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vitinho Pontes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vitinho Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Umberto Passos might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yuri da Silva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Umberto Passos ran back to his position shaking his head. Edson Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitinho Pontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cruena AD's Jairo Figueiredo got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maurinho Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri da Silva having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Umberto Passos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tangerina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Umberto Passos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Raimundo Botelho fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post.

The supporters of Tangerina booed when Cruena AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerônimo Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Claudinho Schmidt in the 57th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Yuri da Silva's left hand side. Jairo Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Edson Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-2 became the score in the 60th minute when Vitinho Pontes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Tangerina's Maurinho Cosme got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Jairo Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Edson Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Raimundo Botelho notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Cruena AD's Yuri da Silva. Yuri da Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 80th match minute, Cruena AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cruena AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! Claudinho Schmidt shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Vitinho Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruena AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitinho Pontes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edson Saldanha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 89th minute, Manoel Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute of the match Jerônimo Brodel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edson Saldanha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Tangerina's Edson Saldanha got control of the ball when Jairo Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edson Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vitinho Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. 97 minutes into the game, Maurinho Cosme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tangerina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cruena AD the free kick. Maurinho Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
