After a rather tough play, Velha SS's Ksawery Skirzynski got a free kick in the 7th minute. Suárez Luis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Matos having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Velha SS's zone, Suárez Luis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Matos came out of the goal and Suárez Luis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Frode Rærup hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Suárez Luis hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Ksawery Skirzynski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Radowit Dzerwucki was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After a rather tough play, Esporte Clube Bahia's Suárez Luis got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Radowit Dzerwucki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ksawery Skirzynski, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

Esporte Clube Bahia's Leandro Vidal got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Oscar Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Esporte Clube Bahia getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Nando Arce hit a great ball. A collision led to Velha SS getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. In the 74th minute Ksawery Skirzynski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radowit Dzerwucki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute Suárez Luis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esporte Clube Bahia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Allan de Lara in the 88th minute. Esporte Clube Bahia's Cristian Moraes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcelo Matos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Cristian Moraes sped through Velha SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcelo Matos. In the 91st match minute, Esporte Clube Bahia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorian Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. Radowit Dzerwucki was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Pedro Paulo Torres. Velha SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
