The supporters of crepuscullo booed when Pirina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giovanni Galvão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cauan Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Perivaldo Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jarbas Paes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Rubens Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarbas Paes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovanni Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of crepuscullo booed when Pirina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perivaldo Souza didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 38th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. After 42 played minutes, Pirina's Enéas Recife shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jarbas Paes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pirina reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Pirina's zone, Didi Saraiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perivaldo Souza came out of the goal and Didi Saraiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 48 in the game by Didi Saraiva from a close distance when the talented Perivaldo Souza managed to make a qualified save. Pirina's players were relieved. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Didi Saraiva was the one to do the kick off. After 52 minutes of play, crepuscullo's Silvério Seco made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Perivaldo Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Pirina's Giovanni Galvão got a free kick in the 58th minute. After 61 played minutes crepuscullo got a freekick which was hit by Régis Tróia. Perivaldo Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rubens Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Giovanni Galvão's late challenge caught a crepuscullo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giovanni Galvão helped the player get up and apologised. When Giovanni Galvão was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. In the 69th match minute, Pirina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovanni Galvão to maneuver through the defense. Didi Saraiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perivaldo Souza having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, crepuscullo's goalkeeper Jarbas Paes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dadá da Silva. Dadá da Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Jarbas Paes made a huge save. If Didi Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
