Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dorian Mangueira took the kick off in the first half of the match. Virgolandia's Mauro Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renatinho Palmeira in the 5th minute of play. In the 9th minute of the match Aracu got a corner. Virgolandia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luisão Lago ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edmundo Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Pontes having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Virgolandia's zone, Edmundo Damião stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Pontes came out of the goal and Edmundo Damião tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renatinho Palmeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mauro Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Damião in the 22nd minute of play. Virgolandia's Mauro Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renatinho Palmeira in the 23rd minute of play. Mauro Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmundo Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amauri Silveira hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Luís Freitas charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Freitas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Aracu booed when Virgolandia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Freitas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edmundo Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erivaldo de Godoy hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Edmundo Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Pontes having to interfere. After having played for 42 minutes, Renatinho Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aracu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renatinho Palmeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmundo Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dorian Mangueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Renatinho Palmeira made the kick off in the second half. If Rodrigo Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 54 played minutes Virgolandia got a freekick which was hit by Luís Freitas. Edmundo Damião was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. Aracu's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Mauro Pontes stood somewhat misplaced when Renatinho Palmeira came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 62 minute. Rodrigo Vinhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Alessandro Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virgolandia's Mauro Pontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Virgolandia from getting a goal against them. Mauro Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renatinho Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Ulisses Gerber charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulisses Gerber the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 86 minutes into the match, Virgolandia's Rodrigo Vinhas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alessandro Eger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rodrigo Vinhas struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Alessandro Eger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Virgolandia. In the 91st match minute, Virgolandia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elivélton Leão to maneuver through the defense. 94 minutes into the game, Renatinho Palmeira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mauro Pontes. Renatinho Palmeira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Mauro Pontes made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Edmundo Damião sent off a good shot on target. Aracu's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
