Edmundo Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Reginaldo Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Nissoes AD defense, Edmundo Damião kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reginaldo Salles. The Nissoes AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reginaldo Salles should have stopped the shot. Ronaldinho Torres charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldinho Torres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Renatinho Palmeira charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Nissoes AD booed when Aracu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renatinho Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renatinho Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reginaldo Salles having to interfere. If Edmundo Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renatinho Palmeira in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reginaldo Salles saved Nissoes AD from getting behind. Edmundo Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Nissoes AD's Reginaldo Salles got control of the ball when Edmundo Damião tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Nissoes AD's Murilo Aguiar got a free kick in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Nissoes AD's goalkeeper Reginaldo Salles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edmundo Damião. Ronaldinho Torres got his second yellow card in the match during the 48th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 48th match minute, Nissoes AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho Torres to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
Reginaldo Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renatinho Palmeira in the 54th minute of the match. Reginaldo Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 84 minutes into the match, Nissoes AD's goal looked a bit too open when Renatinho Palmeira came free, but Reginaldo Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulisses Gerber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reginaldo Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renatinho Palmeira in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Nissoes AD's goal looked a bit too open when Renatinho Palmeira came free, but Reginaldo Salles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 minutes, Edmundo Damião mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aracu and the Nissoes AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 96 played minutes Aracu got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Damião. Beto Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Eger having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Aracu players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
