Itabapoana SC were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Cambuhy EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dito Alves took the corner. Nelson Rossi thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Orlando de Medeiros, a very annoying self made goal in the 71st minute which led to 5-1. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Mazinho Coutinho put it in 6-1 from a short distance just to the right of Orlando de Medeiros. Orlando de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazinho Coutinho in the 79th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes Cambuhy EC got a freekick which was hit by Duda Nogueira. Tolek Zacharczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Nildo Leme's late challenge caught a Itabapoana SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nildo Leme helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Itabapoana SC booed when Cambuhy EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nildo Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mazinho Coutinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orlando de Medeiros read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Waldemar Fernandez kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Itabapoana SC were the better team. Itabapoana SC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
