Verdes FC's Ramiro Leite got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Agostinho Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramiro Leite in the 7th minute of the match. After 7 minutes, Carlos Fernando Sabóia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guerem and the Verdes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Guerem's Carlos Fernando Sabóia got a free kick in the 8th minute. Verdes FC's Ramiro Leite got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cícero Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valdir Fernandez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Verdes FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Maurício Costa hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Verdes FC's Elivélton Recife got a free kick in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Guerem's Romário Fontes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Matheus Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. The Guerem fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The Verdes FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Guerem were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Ramiro Leite made the kick off in the second half. Ramiro Leite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Germano Tepedino fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 66th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. If Maurício Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maurício Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matías Santos's late challenge caught a Guerem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matías Santos helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Maurício Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Verdes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurício Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Agostinho Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the game, Ulysses de Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Verdes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guerem the free kick. The supporters of Guerem booed when Verdes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulysses de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guerem's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
