Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matheus Branco to make the kick off. Agostinho Marquez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomás Arruda in the 58th minute of play. Agostinho Marquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmyr Cosme in the 61st minute. Cícero Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Eduardo Guedes having to interfere. After 68 minutes of play, Guerem's Matheus Branco made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
