Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wágner Quintal started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Luís Vargas got free with Alfredo Hoffmann in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Grêmio booed when Carice EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luís Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grêmio's Alfredo Hoffmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reynaldo Peixoto during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute, Reynaldo Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio's zone, André Luís Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Hoffmann came out of the goal and André Luís Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denílson Medeiros charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Denílson Medeiros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Denílson Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. André Luís Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Alfredo Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Fabinho de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carice EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabinho de Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wágner Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Alfredo Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 27 minutes, Wágner Quintal made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Grêmio's Alfredo Hoffmann tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcinho Senna's late challenge caught a Grêmio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcinho Senna helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Carice EC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Marcinho Senna hit a great ball. Gustavo Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Eriberto Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wágner Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Grêmio's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Quintal came free, but Alfredo Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Carice EC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Robinho Ribeiro hit a great ball. Grêmio's Anísio Senna couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carice EC. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When Grêmio's Anísio Munhoz in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Carice EC's goalie prevented a goal. Carice EC's Eriberto Lima proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Carice EC from getting a goal against them. Carice EC's Wágner Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfredo Hoffmann came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Carice EC's Wágner Quintal. But to his dismay, Wágner Quintal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. André Luís Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Carice EC fans' excitement grew in the 78th match minute when Carice EC's André Luís Vargas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Grêmio's Alfredo Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wágner Quintal in the 82nd minute of play. André Luís Vargas might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfredo Hoffmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Luís Vargas ran back to his position shaking his head. After 89 minutes of play, Carice EC's Reynaldo Peixoto made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Hoffmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wágner Quintal took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredo Hoffmann. Alfredo Hoffmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. When the referee ended the match the Carice EC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
