Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alessandro Pinho started the match with the kick off. Wágner Quintal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Róbson Dante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Luís Vargas in the 5th minute of the match. If Alessandro Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Carice EC's Fabinho de Brito got a free kick in the 7th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elano Coutinho during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carice EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Luís Vargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 79 played minutes, Periquara's José Carlos Figueiredo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eriberto Lima came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Periquara reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Luís Vargas in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Róbson Dante saved Periquara from getting behind. Wágner Quintal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Periquara's Róbson Dante got control of the ball when André Luís Vargas tried to sneak it across the goal line. André Luís Vargas struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Róbson Dante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carice EC. 91 minutes into the match, Periquara's Osmar Paulista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eriberto Lima narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Carice EC's Wágner Quintal dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Alessandro Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eriberto Lima having to interfere. When the match was over Carice EC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Periquara throughout the match.
