Zé Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kléberson Rosado in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júnior Barros saved Ibirapua AD from getting behind. Júnior Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléberson Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Toninho Magalhães came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Ibirapua AD's Hélder de Lima. But to his dismay, Hélder de Lima quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Amadeu Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caco Garcia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Ibirapua AD's Caco Garcia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toninho Magalhães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kléberson Rosado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Toninho Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jefferson Vasconcelos in the 58th minute of the match. Davi Koehler charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Davi Koehler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 73 minutes into the game, one of Mulungu Futebol Clube BA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Toninho Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeu Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amadeu Siqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Toninho Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Ibirapua AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mulungu Futebol Clube BA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
