Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Elói Abreu started the match with the kick off. When Anselmo Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bandeira AD's protests and gave Anselmo Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. Leopoldo Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio Toscano in the 5th minute of the match. Cícero Montenegro in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Belmiro Pernambucano, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Esperança SC's Belmiro Pernambucano got control of the ball when Cícero Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Sidney Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 minutes, Wilian Marinho made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Bandeira AD's Leopoldo Rossi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Bandeira AD's Elói Abreu in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Sandrinho Medeiros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Belmiro Pernambucano. Esperança SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Bandeira AD's Elói Abreu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Belmiro Pernambucano. That made the score 1-1 after 27 minutes of play. After 33 minutes, Wilian Marinho made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Bandeira AD's Leopoldo Rossi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Esperança SC's goalkeeper Belmiro Pernambucano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 45th match minute, Bandeira AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilian Marinho in the 50th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo Rossi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilian Marinho to make the kick off. Belmiro Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cícero Montenegro in the 58th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Elói Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Belmiro Pernambucano was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. 67 minutes into the game, Dida Pimenta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bandeira AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Esperança SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bandeira AD's Dida Pimenta got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 69th minute Wilian Marinho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 74th minute, Ademar Lucas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Wilian Marinho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leopoldo Rossi was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. If Cícero Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bandeira AD's Elói Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leopoldo Rossi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sidney Vale in the 83rd minute. Leopoldo Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilian Marinho in the 85th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Cícero Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bandeira AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Cícero Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Belmiro Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elói Abreu struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Belmiro Pernambucano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bandeira AD. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
