Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alexsandro Ferraz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráusio Moreno in the 10th minute of play forced Demarcacao's goalkeeper Alexsandro Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexsandro Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráusio Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráusio Moreno in the 39th minute of play forced Demarcacao's goalkeeper Alexsandro Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petropolis's Fiori Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 47 played minutes Demarcacao got a freekick which was hit by Elder da Fonseca.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dráusio Moreno to make the kick off. With a little luck, Petropolis's Kaká do Vale got control of the ball when José Maria Medeiros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Simão Medeiros charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Demarcacao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fiori Cardoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Fiori Cardoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexsandro Ferraz having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Fernando Albuquerque during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alexsandro Ferraz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dráusio Moreno's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. 93 minutes into the match, Petropolis's Dráusio Moreno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexsandro Ferraz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 95 minutes into the game, Dráusio Moreno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Alexsandro Ferraz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
