Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Gláuber Freire could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Baltazar Albuquerque made a huge save. In the 6th minute, Almir Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Almir Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Carlos Lucas having to interfere. Humberto Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18thth minute of the game Gilson Veiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Trocadeiro's Baltazar Albuquerque was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Vânderson Prata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trocadeiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Juventudes Libertárias the free kick. Baltazar Albuquerque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilson Veiga in the 27th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Trocadeiro's Humberto Vargas got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 31st match minute, Juventudes Libertárias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerônimo Paiva to maneuver through the defense. If Almir Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Humberto Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Humberto Vargas in the 38th minute of play forced Juventudes Libertárias's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Humberto Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Trocadeiro's zone, Gláuber Freire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baltazar Albuquerque came out of the goal and Gláuber Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gláuber Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilson Veiga to strike the kick off in the second half. Humberto Vargas hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Jerônimo Paiva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Baltazar Albuquerque was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Gláuber Freire struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Baltazar Albuquerque didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juventudes Libertárias. Juventudes Libertárias's Gilson Veiga got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Almir Borges received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Antônio Carlos Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Juventudes Libertárias's Jerônimo Paiva got a free kick in the 75th minute. It was beautiful to see Trocadeiro's Humberto Vargas in action when he in the 78th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Gilson Veiga struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Baltazar Albuquerque didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juventudes Libertárias. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilson Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Juventudes Libertárias's Gláuber Freire nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Baltazar Albuquerque made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 97th minute Gláuber Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juventudes Libertárias's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
