Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Aljezur's Fernandinho Lopez started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Aljezur's goalkeeper Claudinei Gerber had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arí Cearense. Fernandinho Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvinho Rodrigues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Arí Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Exu's supporters rose to their feet, but Arí Cearense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudinei Gerber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Laércio Furtado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Claudinei Gerber, 1-0. If Arí Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Durvalino Sá's late challenge caught a Aljezur's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Durvalino Sá helped the player get up and apologised. Juvenal Quaresma went to the wrong direction when Gustavo Barreto was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Laércio Furtado dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Claudinei Gerber, 2-0. Arí Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Gerber having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laércio Furtado to make the kick off. Claudinei Gerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arí Cearense in the 52nd minute of the match. Arí Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Gerber having to interfere. After 54 minutes of play, Exu's Laércio Furtado made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinei Gerber was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Arí Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Arí Cearense made a precise shot to the right of Claudinei Gerber. Aljezur's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Claudinei Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arí Cearense in the 63rd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Exu's Laércio Furtado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudinei Gerber narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fernandinho Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Juvenal Quaresma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arí Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Aljezur's goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Furtado came free, but Claudinei Gerber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 minutes of play, Exu's Laércio Furtado made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinei Gerber was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Laércio Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Exu's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
