Ernani Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Joaquim Munhoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The FC Marítimo fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when FC Marítimo's Caco Senna looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Dungeons FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Gildo Couto hit a great ball. Hugo Vinhas took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dênis Neto. Dênis Neto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hugo Vinhas made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, FC Marítimo's Arnaldo Passos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquim Munhoz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Denílson Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dênis Neto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. If Denílson Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
