Rafinha Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio Guedes having to interfere. Rafinha Quirino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horácio Guedes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Labrea SC booed when EC Ramalhão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frédson Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Túlio Vides got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Túlio Vides hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Wágner de Carvalho, 35 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafinha Quirino in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horácio Guedes saved EC Ramalhão from getting behind. After having played for 42 minutes, Túlio Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC Ramalhão's supporters crossed their fingers, but Túlio Vides was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Frédson Mazza came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the EC Ramalhão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frédson Mazza couldn't finish the play. EC Ramalhão's Frédson Mazza got his second yellow card of the match in the 46th minute. The referee ordered Frédson Mazza off the ground. In the 47th minute, Frédson Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Celsinho Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot. EC Ramalhão's supporters rose to their feet, but Celsinho Pernambucano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilton Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kiko da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Agnaldo Almeida made a precise shot to the right of Horácio Guedes. EC Ramalhão's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Rafinha Quirino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Vitor Arsuaga fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EC Ramalhão's protests and gave Vitor Arsuaga a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Labrea SC booed when EC Ramalhão was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitor Arsuaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Labrea SC's goal looked a bit too open when Vitor Arsuaga came free, but Wilton Massa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th match minute, EC Ramalhão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vitor Arsuaga to maneuver through the defense. Celsinho Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Wilton Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilton Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Agnaldo Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Labrea SC's Rafinha Quirino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Horácio Guedes. Horácio Guedes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Celsinho Pernambucano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilton Massa having to interfere. In the 86th minute Túlio Vides shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilton Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Celsinho Pernambucano came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the EC Ramalhão fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celsinho Pernambucano couldn't finish the play. Horácio Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes in the game, Rafinha Quirino fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Horácio Guedes having to interfere. Horácio Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agnaldo Almeida in the 96th minute of play. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see EC Ramalhão lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
