Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Simão Gerber made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Japerica's goal looked a bit too open when Simão Gerber came free, but Ademar Teles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Carlos Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dênis Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iuri Couto in the 9th minute of play forced Vasantes's goalkeeper José Carlos Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ademar Teles made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Simão Gerber sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Japerica's Rubinho Vergílio got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 18th minute Antônio Carlos Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Carlos Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Carlos Negri came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Japerica's Sandro do Nascimento. But to his dismay, Sandro do Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. José Carlos Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dênis Nascimento in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Japerica booed when Vasantes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iuri Couto in the 26th minute of play forced Vasantes's goalkeeper José Carlos Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 27 minutes, Simão Gerber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vasantes and the Japerica players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Japerica booed when Vasantes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rômulo Faustino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Paulo da Silveira in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ademar Teles saved Japerica from getting behind. José Carlos Negri came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Japerica's Dênis Nascimento. But to his dismay, Dênis Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Japerica's Dênis Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44thth minute of the game Rômulo Faustino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Japerica's Ademar Teles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half Japerica were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

José Carlos Negri came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Japerica's Sandro do Nascimento. But to his dismay, Sandro do Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Sandro do Nascimento scored 0-4 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Carlos Negri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. José Carlos Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iuri Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Dênis Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but José Carlos Negri made a huge save. If João Paulo da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dênis Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. José Carlos Negri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Japerica. João Paulo da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
