Nicolas Negri hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Ernesto Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leandro Fernandez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 16th minute, Délio Terra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barretina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 26 minutes into the game, Ernesto Queirós cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Leandro Fernandez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ernesto Queirós scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leandro Fernandez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 41 played minutes Favinhas got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fabiano Fonseca. In the 42nd minute of the match Hélder Pena shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leandro Fernandez showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Vides in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gonçalo Sousa saved Barretina from getting behind. A collision led to Favinhas getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Alan Montenegro hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Délio Terra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ernesto Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leandro Fernandez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After 57 minutes of play, Favinhas's Nicolas Vides made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gonçalo Sousa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gonçalo Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldemar Fernandez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leandro Fernandez made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Ernesto Queirós sent off a good shot on target. Luís Fabiano Fonseca hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 69 minutes into the match, Favinhas's goalkeeper Leandro Fernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ernesto Queirós. Favinhas's Leandro Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Délio Terra in the 71st minute of play. When Favinhas's Waldemar Fernandez in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barretina's goalie prevented a goal. In the 77th minute Severino Pires shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 83 minutes of play, Barretina's Délio Terra made it 1-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leandro Fernandez was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94th minute, Nicolas Vides got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 99th minute by Ernesto Queirós got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Barretina's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
