Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dalmo Vidal started the match with the kick off. Dalmo Vidal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gonçalo Sousa having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Dalmo Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo's supporters rose to their feet, but Dalmo Vidal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gonçalo Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vivaldo Abraão charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vivaldo Abraão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Barretina booed when Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vivaldo Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 minutes, Delfim Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flamengo and the Barretina players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Flamengo! When the match had been going on for 17 minutes, Barretina's Hélder Pena got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of João Carlos Barros. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Queirós got free with João Carlos Barros in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. João Carlos Barros made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Queirós in the 22nd minute. 23 minutes into the match, Flamengo's goal looked a bit too open when Délio Terra came free, but João Carlos Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Flamengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vivaldo Abraão to maneuver through the defense. In the 26th minute, Álvaro Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute Laércio Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonçalo Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Carlos Barros was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Délio Terra capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Délio Terra really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Barretina's Gonçalo Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo Vidal in the 37th minute of play. Nicolas Negri's late challenge caught a Flamengo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Negri helped the player get up and apologised. Nicolas Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Délio Terra was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ernesto Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Queirós in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Carlos Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Laércio Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Gonçalo Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernesto Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Flamengo's João Francisco Cruz got a free kick in the 80th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Flamengo's Dalmo Vidal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gonçalo Sousa. That made the score 2-4 after 83 minutes of play. When Dalmo Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Flamengo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dalmo Vidal couldn't finish the play. João Carlos Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Délio Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. João Carlos Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Queirós in the 93rd minute of play.
