Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Valdemar Cordeiro made the kick off and thus started the match. After a defensive mix-up in Petrolina AD's zone, Válbson Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Válter Queirós came out of the goal and Válbson Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Petrolina AD's Válter Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válbson Silveira in the 5th minute of play. Remo Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Laerte Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valdemar Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Evaristo Mesquita didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Petrolina AD. Christiano Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Fernandes in the 15th minute of play forced Tchurosbango FC's goalkeeper Evaristo Mesquita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Válter Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Silveira in the 22nd minute of play. When Remo Negri fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Petrolina AD's protests and gave Remo Negri a yellow card for diving instead. Evaristo Mesquita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laerte Fernandes in the 36th minute of the match. Sebastião Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastião Quirino struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Tostão Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When Petrolina AD's Valdemar Cordeiro in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tchurosbango FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Válbson Silveira to make the kick off. Tchurosbango FC's Evaristo Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Cordeiro in the 54th minute of play. Válbson Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Válbson Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válter Queirós having to interfere. Válter Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Silveira in the 67th minute of play. Evaristo Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Cordeiro in the 68th minute of play. Laerte Fernandes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Evaristo Mesquita skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Petrolina AD's Laerte Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Tchurosbango FC's Sebastião Quirino in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Petrolina AD's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastião Quirino in the 82nd minute of play forced Petrolina AD's goalkeeper Válter Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Laerte Fernandes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 83rd playminute. If Laerte Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tostão Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Valdemar Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Petrolina AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdemar Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evaristo Mesquita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sebastião Quirino hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Petrolina AD had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
