Mazinho Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Humberto Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Belchior Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Nunes having to interfere. Humberto Nunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mazinho Cunha went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 32 minutes into the match, Duarte Antunes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fernandinho do Vale, 1-1. If Zé Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Léo Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandinho do Vale having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Belchior Schmidt to strike the kick off in the second half. Humberto Nunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belchior Schmidt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Duarte Antunes fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored High Star F.C.'s protests and gave Duarte Antunes a yellow card for diving instead. After 57 played minutes High Star F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gildo Ceresso. Humberto Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belchior Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Mazinho Cunha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Itororo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Humberto Nunes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Belchior Schmidt went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. High Star F.C.'s Zé Dias got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 77 minutes, Mazinho Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itororo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mazinho Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, High Star F.C.'s Romeu Pimenta got a free kick in the 78th minute. Humberto Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mazinho Cunha in the 79th minute. Humberto Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belchior Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute of the match, Mazinho Cunha got a very nice opportunity to score, but Humberto Nunes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The High Star F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Itororo's performance. The match ended with a win for Itororo.
