Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Yuri de Sena started the match with the kick off. Luiz Fabiano Brito was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Acácio Diniz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. A hard shot by Oséias Paranaense from long distance, 18 minutes into the match, got Luiz Fabiano Brito's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 20 minutes into the match, Itapoa's Yuri de Sena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edmundo de Mendonça narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Itapoa's Luiz Fabiano Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Diniz in the 30th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Acácio Diniz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Fabiano Brito was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Yuri de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo de Mendonça having to interfere. Yuri de Sena struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Edmundo de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itapoa. 42 minutes into the match, Forquilha's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Vale came free, but Edmundo de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Yuri de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Acácio Diniz was the one to do the kick off. Arlindo do Valle hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After 53 played minutes Itapoa got a freekick which was hit by Jeferson Araújo. Itapoa's Luiz Fabiano Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Diniz in the 58th minute of play. Luiz Fabiano Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Yuri de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Edmundo de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Itapoa's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Mota came free, but Luiz Fabiano Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeferson Araújo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmundo de Mendonça read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Luiz Fabiano Brito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Acácio Diniz's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Forquilha's goalkeeper Edmundo de Mendonça had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yuri de Sena. After 80 played minutes, Forquilha's Fiori Paraibano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Brito came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Forquilha reached it. After 83 played minutes Forquilha got a freekick which was hit by Oséias Paranaense. Edmundo de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri de Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Fabiano Brito came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Forquilha's Acácio Diniz. But to his dismay, Acácio Diniz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeferson Araújo during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the referee ended the match the Forquilha players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
