Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Acácio Diniz started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Forquilha's Edmundo de Mendonça got control of the ball when Waldir Mendes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edmundo de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Santos in the 11th minute of play. Orlando Santos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edmundo de Mendonça came out and tried to block the shot, but Orlando Santos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. In the 17th minute Acácio Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match Antônio Donato sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edmundo de Mendonça skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Guayaramerim SC's zone, Antônio Prestes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Paulo Lucas came out of the goal and Antônio Prestes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José Paulo Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Acácio Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. An unexpected shot in the 35th minute by Rubinho Mazza got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The supporters of Forquilha booed when Guayaramerim SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute of the match Forquilha got a corner. Guayaramerim SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fiori Paraibano ran over to the corner to take the kick. Acácio Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo Lucas having to interfere. In the 47th match minute, Guayaramerim SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juvenal Secco to maneuver through the defense. After 50 minutes Guayaramerim SC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fiori Paraibano who took care of the corner kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlando Santos was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Forquilha booed when Guayaramerim SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waldir Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Forquilha's Fiori Paraibano shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 55th minute of play. The shot was stopped by José Paulo Lucas but with some difficulty. After a rather tough play, Forquilha's Fiori Paraibano got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 62nd minute, Abelardo Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fiori Paraibano charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fiori Paraibano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rubinho Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antônio Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo Lucas having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Waldir Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 minutes, Carlos Alberto Mota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Forquilha and the Guayaramerim SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Alberto Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Orlando Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 100th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guayaramerim SC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
