After a rather tough play, HAPPY NEW YEAR MZC's Marcus Saraiva got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 8 minutes, Juvenal Dantas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HAPPY NEW YEAR MZC and the PACEPAR players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 8 played minutes HAPPY NEW YEAR MZC got a freekick which was hit by Juvenal Dantas. Clemente Luz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Alexsandro Borges tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clemente Luz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Alexsandro Borges made a huge save. In the 25th minute, Olavo Vasconcelos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 31 minutes, Vitinho Gaúcho made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. HAPPY NEW YEAR MZC's Gilson Mattos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gilson Mattos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vitinho Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. In the 40th minute, HAPPY NEW YEAR MZC's Juvenal Dantas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. When Vitinho Gaúcho came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the PACEPAR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vitinho Gaúcho couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute of the game Patrick Faustino made a throw-in which Geovanni Donato played forward. In the 45th match minute, HAPPY NEW YEAR MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Varela to maneuver through the defense. The HAPPY NEW YEAR MZC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. PACEPAR were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vitinho Gaúcho to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Vitinho Gaúcho notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of HAPPY NEW YEAR MZC's Gilson Mattos. Gilson Mattos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 63 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Vitinho Gaúcho sped through HAPPY NEW YEAR MZC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gilson Mattos. In the 73rd minute of the match Luisão Schmidt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilson Mattos skillfully saved the ball. 80 minutes into the match, PACEPAR's Vitinho Gaúcho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilson Mattos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Kauan Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot. PACEPAR's supporters rose to their feet, but Kauan Ramos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilson Mattos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kauan Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Vitinho Gaúcho took a quick shot and it went in 2-7 without a chance for Gilson Mattos to make any attempt to save it. Alexsandro Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juvenal Dantas in the 93rd minute of play. Kauan Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Mattos having to interfere. After 95 minutes, Gernando de Sousa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HAPPY NEW YEAR MZC and the PACEPAR players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 95 played minutes HAPPY NEW YEAR MZC got a freekick which was hit by Gernando de Sousa. If Vitinho Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. PACEPAR played a much better game than HAPPY NEW YEAR MZC and deserved their victory. The HAPPY NEW YEAR MZC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
