But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josué Gomes couldn't finish the play. Claudinei Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. José Carlos Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Josué Gomes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Carlos Brodel was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After 23 minutes, Josué Gomes made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Taiacu AD's José Carlos Brodel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Claudinei Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Carlos Brodel having to interfere. Salobre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Salobre's Didi Mumbach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amauri Linares in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Salobre booed when Taiacu AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Taiacu AD's Donato Lago got a free kick in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Taiacu AD's zone, Claudinei Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Carlos Brodel came out of the goal and Claudinei Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Taiacu AD succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Salobre had controlled the match.
