Guilherme da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natã Carioca in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After a defensive mix-up in Curucamba AD's zone, Natã Carioca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilherme da Fonseca came out of the goal and Natã Carioca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Natã Carioca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olinda's supporters rose to their feet, but Natã Carioca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guilherme da Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Curucamba AD getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jardel Toledo hit a great ball. Hélio Ramalho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gualter Pombal having to make a save. Enrique Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilvan da Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Hélio Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Olinda's Gualter Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélio Ramalho in the 86th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Hélio Ramalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gualter Pombal was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Celsinho de Amaral hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match.
