Chico Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Botucarai's Marco Negri tried to score from far away in the 11th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Wágner Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes of play, Torrense Fair's Gilson Botelho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manolo Velloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! José Carlos Cosme was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Wágner Pernambucano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wágner Pernambucano really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Gilson Botelho might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manolo Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilson Botelho ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Gilson Botelho sped through Botucarai's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manolo Velloso. The supporters of Torrense Fair booed when Botucarai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cícero Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilson Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Manolo Velloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wágner Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Botucarai's Luizão Sampaio got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. José Carlos Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizão Sampaio in the 44th minute of the match.

In the 51st minute, Marco Negri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinícius Araújo was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Luizão Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute Gilson Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manolo Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by José Maria Branco during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 60th match minute, Botucarai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Maria Branco to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Wágner Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botucarai's supporters rose to their feet, but Wágner Pernambucano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Carlos Cosme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gilson Botelho's late challenge caught a Botucarai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilson Botelho helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Botucarai booed when Torrense Fair was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilson Botelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wágner Pernambucano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Carlos Cosme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wágner Pernambucano in the 73rd minute of play forced Torrense Fair's goalkeeper José Carlos Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manolo Velloso made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Rodrigo de Barros sent off a good shot on target. If Wágner Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Botucarai fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Botucarai's Wágner Pernambucano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Chico Ramos got his second yellow card in the match during the 91st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Chico Ramos kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
