Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Raúl Massa got the match started through his kick off. Amílton Maranhense hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute, Augusto Mendonça sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Inhare SC's Vivaldo Souza didn't even have to move. Rogério Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogério Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Coronel's Rogério Fonseca got a free kick in the 10th minute. The audience was convinced that Alfredinho Aparecido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vivaldo Souza was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. After 17 minutes of play, Coronel's Alfredinho Aparecido made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vivaldo Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th minute, Richard Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute Raúl Massa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vivaldo Souza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredinho Aparecido struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Vivaldo Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coronel. After a rather tough play, Coronel's Augusto Mendonça got a free kick in the 26th minute. José Maria Gonçalves didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 28th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. In the 31st minute, Richard Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Raúl Massa struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Vivaldo Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coronel. José Maria Gonçalves made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Vicente Faria sent off a good shot on target. Evaristo de Moraes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vivaldo Souza. Inhare SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raúl Massa in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vivaldo Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Vivaldo Souza made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Alfredinho Aparecido sent off a good shot on target. In the 61st minute, Wilson Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Raúl Massa came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Coronel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raúl Massa couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Inhare SC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Richard Mangueira hit a great ball. Alfredinho Aparecido could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Vivaldo Souza made a huge save. Vivaldo Souza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Coronel's zone, Donatello Félix stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Maria Gonçalves came out of the goal and Donatello Félix tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredinho Aparecido sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raúl Massa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vivaldo Souza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Raúl Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vivaldo Souza having to interfere. Inhare SC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Coronel had controlled the match.
