Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After having played for 3 minutes, Rony Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Americana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rony Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 5 minutes into the match, Americana's Mário da Mata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiaguinho da Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Cláudio Guerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Americana's Hélder Botelho got a free kick in the 11th minute. Alvacao's Kléber Prado couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 12th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Americana. Mário da Mata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rony Salgado came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Americana fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rony Salgado couldn't finish the play. Júnior Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juninho Batista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Paulo José Pernambucano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Júnior Leite could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Paulo José Pernambucano made a huge save. If Júnior Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juninho Batista made a kick off. Paulo José Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Paulo José Pernambucano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Leite, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Mário da Mata got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Alvacao's zone, Rony Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiaguinho da Costa came out of the goal and Rony Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Virgílio Cruz kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute Juninho Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo José Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júnior Leite's late challenge caught a Americana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júnior Leite helped the player get up and apologised. If Mário da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Juninho Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alvacao's supporters rose to their feet, but Juninho Batista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo José Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Americana booed when Alvacao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júnior Leite didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvacao's Tiaguinho da Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Alvacao from getting a goal against them. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
