Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ernesto Pirani took the kick off in the first half of the match. Remo Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Valdir Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oari SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Valdir Quirino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sidney Messias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sidney Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdir Quirino in the 10th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Vladimir Paes in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Itati AD's Caetano Martins. Sidney Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Almir Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Oari SC's Nilmar Castro got a free kick in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Almir Amorim in the 27th minute of play forced Itati AD's goalkeeper Sidney Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Almir Amorim made a precise shot to the right of Sidney Messias. Itati AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Durvalino Baptista hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute Almir Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Oari SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rony Travassos to make the kick off. Manfredo Borges stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Pirani's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Durvalino Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Itati AD fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Itati AD's Ernesto Pirani looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Manfredo Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remo Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 66th match minute, Oari SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Travassos to maneuver through the defense. Manfredo Borges came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Itati AD's Ernesto Pirani. But to his dismay, Ernesto Pirani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Sidney Messias came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Oari SC's Rony Travassos. But to his dismay, Rony Travassos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Almir Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Sidney Messias made a huge save. The supporters of Oari SC booed when Itati AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rony Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Pirani in the 89th minute of play forced Oari SC's goalkeeper Manfredo Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ernesto Pirani came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Itati AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Pirani couldn't finish the play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
