One of Tariquinho AD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gladiadores:s goal. In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Gladiadores. Fabrício Cavalcante stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cláudio de Toledo. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Tomás Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gladiadores's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Linhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cláudio de Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edmílson Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Valdo Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henrique Queirós having to interfere. In the 18th minute, one of Gladiadores:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gladiadores. 25 minutes into the match, Gladiadores's Tomás Linhares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cláudio de Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Agostinho Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomás Linhares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cláudio de Toledo came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomás Linhares slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 28th minute. In the 31st minute Tomás Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agostinho Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio de Toledo having to interfere. A hard shot 37 in the game by Agostinho Eger from a close distance when the talented Cláudio de Toledo managed to make a qualified save. Tariquinho AD's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Tariquinho AD's zone, Tomás Linhares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cláudio de Toledo came out of the goal and Tomás Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agostinho Eger struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Cláudio de Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gladiadores. After a defensive mix-up in Tariquinho AD's zone, Tomás Linhares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cláudio de Toledo came out of the goal and Tomás Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Batista in the 47th minute of play forced Gladiadores's goalkeeper Henrique Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valdo Baptista to strike the kick off in the second half. Agostinho Eger scored 3-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cláudio de Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jacinto Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. When Tariquinho AD's Valdo Baptista in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cláudio de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After 72 played minutes Tariquinho AD got a freekick which was hit by Amílton Tinoco. In the 73rd minute of the match Fabrício Cavalcante shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cláudio de Toledo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Agostinho Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Cláudio de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The attack was good, but when Agostinho Eger in the 80th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Agostinho Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cláudio de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Henrique Queirós made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Baptista in the 96th minute of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gladiadores had played much better football throughout.
