Diamantino Velloso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Eugênio Trigo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Amauri de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vimeiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Amauri de Lara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eugênio Trigo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amauri de Lara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Eugênio Trigo made a huge save. Eugênio Trigo was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Amauri de Lara capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amauri de Lara really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. If Amauri de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Albuquerque hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Jerônimo Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimir da Costa in the 32nd minute of play forced Vimeiro's goalkeeper Chicão Gomes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vimeiro's Chicão Gomes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tostão Freitas in the 35th minute of play. Tostão Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chicão Gomes having to interfere. Diamantino Velloso struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Eugênio Trigo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vimeiro. Tostão Freitas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Chicão Gomes having to make a save. 45 minutes into the match, Vladimir da Costa notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Vimeiro's Chicão Gomes. Chicão Gomes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Velloso in the 52nd minute of play forced Sanganha SC's goalkeeper Eugênio Trigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amauri de Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abelardo Tinoco during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Eugênio Trigo came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Vimeiro's Amauri de Lara. But to his dismay, Amauri de Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Varela during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Miguel Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tostão Freitas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diamantino Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugênio Trigo having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Sanganha SC got a freekick which was hit by Erivaldo Toscano. The audience was convinced that Diamantino Velloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eugênio Trigo was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. After 94 played minutes Vimeiro got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Brodel. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Vimeiro had played much better football throughout.
