Lauro Paranaense was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Tiaguinho Rezende capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tiaguinho Rezende really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 6 minutes into the match, Seberi's goal looked a bit too open when Tostão Garcia came free, but Sílvio Luiz Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rutes SC's Arlindo Vasconcelos got a free kick in the 8th minute. If Arlindo Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Seberi's goal looked a bit too open when Tostão Garcia came free, but Sílvio Luiz Simões reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute Rutes SC were awarded a corner. Enrique Severo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Rutes SC's Enrique Severo to fire away a dangerous shot which Sílvio Luiz Simões despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 18th minute, Pedro Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Elói Mineiro in the 20th minute really tested Lauro Paranaense's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tiaguinho Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro Paranaense having to interfere. With a little luck, Rutes SC's Lauro Paranaense got control of the ball when Tiaguinho Rezende tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maurício Xavier charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maurício Xavier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Seberi! Enrique Severo walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 38th minute, Tostão Garcia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 41 minutes of play, Seberi's Edvaldo Pires made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lauro Paranaense was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edvaldo Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tiaguinho Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tostão Garcia to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Tiaguinho Rezende managed to get in a good position for a shot. Seberi's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiaguinho Rezende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lauro Paranaense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The long shot by Paulo Renato Hermes in the 55th minute really tested Sílvio Luiz Simões's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 57th minute, Alexandre Ferraz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manfredo Cardozo charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tostão Garcia got free with Sílvio Luiz Simões in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 72 minutes into the match, Seberi's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz Simões had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tostão Garcia. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiaguinho Rezende in the 75th minute of play forced Rutes SC's goalkeeper Lauro Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Edvaldo Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lauro Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvaldo Pires in the 80th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Edvaldo Pires cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Lauro Paranaense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Acácio Motta kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rutes SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Seberi.
