Guto Baptista was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Tambores's Acácio Prata got control of the ball when João Vítor das Neves tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 19 minutes, Agenor Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manaira AD and the Tambores players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tambores booed when Manaira AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agenor Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guto Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Catarinense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diamantino Arruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Guto Baptista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guto Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Vale in the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Arruda in the 29th minute of play forced Manaira AD's goalkeeper Guto Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vicente Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Tambores's Arí Cavalcante tried to score from far away in the 34th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tambores's Acácio Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Xavier in the 37th minute of play. Tambores's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Arí Cavalcante in the 41st minute. The corner led Tambores's Arnaldo Catarinense to a score. 0-2 in the 43rd minute. The Manaira AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tambores were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mário Xavier to make the kick off. Guto Baptista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diamantino Arruda in the 52nd minute. João Vítor das Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Prata having to interfere. João Vítor das Neves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Acácio Prata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Manaira AD reached it. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Acácio Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vítor das Neves in the 84th minute of play. If Diamantino Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alessandro Vale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guto Baptista having to make a save. Mário Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
