José Pedro Brodel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mário Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mário Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. José Pedro Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that João Vítor das Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Pedro Brodel was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. 26 minutes into the match, Manaira AD's Mário Xavier sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that José Pedro Brodel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sericita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mário Xavier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Mário Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Pedro Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Xavier in the 44th minute of play. Sericita's José Pedro Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mário Xavier in the 45th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mário Xavier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. João Vítor das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Mário Xavier struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. José Pedro Brodel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manaira AD. Vicente Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Mário Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg José Pedro Brodel managed to avoid a goal in the 72ndth minute, when Manaira AD's João Vítor das Neves fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. José Pedro Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Vítor das Neves got free with José Pedro Brodel in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
