Alfredão Vides hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 3rd minute, Marcelo Vides got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute Mário Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manaira AD's Guto Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Vides in the 10th minute of play. Marcelo Vides struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Guto Baptista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Austin SC. In the 14th minute Luís Fernando Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mário Xavier in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto de Andrade saved Austin SC from getting behind. João Vítor das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Fausto de Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 21 minutes, Luís Eduardo de Sena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manaira AD and the Austin SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 23 minutes had been played when some careless play by Manaira AD's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hugo Varela was slow to take the kick. During this time Austin SC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Hugo Varela got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Guto Baptista quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Guto Baptista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mário Xavier in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto de Andrade prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of Austin SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Manaira AD:s goal. The referee gave Manaira AD a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Claudinho Garcia, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Austin SC's Fausto de Andrade. 1-0. If João Vítor das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The supporters of Austin SC booed when Manaira AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredão Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Vides could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Guto Baptista made a huge save. 60 minutes into the match, Austin SC's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Xavier came free, but Fausto de Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mário Xavier blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fausto de Andrade having to make a save. Manaira AD's Guto Baptista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Manaira AD from getting a goal against them. Alfredão Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Austin SC's goal looked a bit too open when Mário Xavier came free, but Fausto de Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto de Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Xavier in the 90th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the game, Manaira AD's Mário Xavier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fausto de Andrade made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 94 minutes into the game, Alfredão Vides was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manaira AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Austin SC the free kick. In the 94th minute, Alfredão Vides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
