Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Zé Trigo got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Emburana booed when Cayru EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laércio Quaresma didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Zé Trigo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Emburana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cayru EC the free kick. Zé Trigo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Zeca França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute of the match, Deivid Cardoso got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zeca França was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Emburana's zone, Mathias Botelho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laerte Palmeira came out of the goal and Mathias Botelho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Cayru EC booed when Emburana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manoel Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Mathias Botelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Carlos Garcia fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cayru EC's protests and gave Carlos Garcia a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Cayru EC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Garcia. Nilmar Vander charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nilmar Vander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cayru EC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Nilmar Vander hit a great ball. Zeca França made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deivid Cardoso in the 40th minute. When Marcelinho Vianna fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cayru EC's protests and gave Marcelinho Vianna a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, one of Cayru EC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cayru EC. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dito Gaspar was the one to do the kick off. If Marquinhos Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelinho Vianna took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Laerte Palmeira. Emburana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 63 minutes of play, Emburana's Deivid Cardoso made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serginho Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dito Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeca França took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeca França having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Deivid Cardoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dito Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Laerte Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeca França didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Deivid Cardoso went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Zeca França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Deivid Cardoso in the 93rd minute of play. If Zé Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Many of Cayru EC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Cayru EC may have spent more time on the ball, but Emburana were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
