Pedrinho Passos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Corrêa in the 26th minute of the match. Pedrinho Passos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clóvis de Lara went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Clóvis de Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Passos having to interfere. After 36 played minutes, Burrego's Nelson Custódio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Pedrinho Passos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Burrego reached it. Dagoberto Garcia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvaldinho Perez in the 38th minute. Horácio Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Clóvis de Lara struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Pedrinho Passos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burrego. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clóvis de Lara was the one to do the kick off. Marvai's Pedrinho Passos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Marvai from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded Burrego left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Marvai.
