In the 7th minute, Zé Mangueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orlando Chaves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Cachorrinho AD getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Nico de Lima hit a great ball. Parica's Dráuzio de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 18th minute Dráuzio de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matías Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Igor Soeiro struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Orlando Chaves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cachorrinho AD. 0-2 became the score in the 22nd minute when Igor Soeiro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Orlando Chaves came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Cachorrinho AD's Igor Soeiro. But to his dismay, Igor Soeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Orlando Chaves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Igor Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Régis Cordeiro's late challenge caught a Cachorrinho AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Régis Cordeiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st minute, Régis Cordeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th match minute, Parica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Régis Cordeiro to maneuver through the defense. Cristian dos Santos made a great header on Cachorrinho AD's corner, it was just that Parica's Orlando Chaves managed to reach the ball for a save. Parica's Orlando Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Igor Soeiro in the 48th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Mangueira got free with Orlando Chaves in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dráuzio de Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matías Vieira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Orlando Chaves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 90th match minute, Parica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benê Britto to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Zé Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cachorrinho AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Mangueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Chaves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Orlando Chaves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Soeiro in the 97th minute of play. The Cachorrinho AD supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cachorrinho AD would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
