Edgar Veiga struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Fiori Capixaba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capitaozinho. Valdir Queiroz kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes Raí Trigo shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Iraty Falcons Club's Fiori Capixaba to catch but Raí Trigo was lucky. It became 0-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. 22 minutes into the match, Iraty Falcons Club's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Veiga came free, but Fiori Capixaba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adelino Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Fiori Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Váldson Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Edgar Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iraty Falcons Club's Fiori Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Veiga in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Capitaozinho's Glauco Andrade sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fiori Capixaba narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fiori Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glauco Andrade in the 44th minute of play. Fiori Capixaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glauco Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgar Veiga to strike the kick off in the second half. Zé Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dudu Quintal came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Iraty Falcons Club's Váldson Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Váldson Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience was convinced that Edgar Veiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fiori Capixaba was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 64th minute, Glauco Andrade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capitaozinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Fiori Capixaba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Veiga in the 68th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Osvaldo Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Glauco Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Fiori Capixaba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Iraty Falcons Club's Zé Pinheiro got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 76th match minute, Iraty Falcons Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdomiro Zonta to maneuver through the defense. Capitaozinho's Raí Trigo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 77th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Iraty Falcons Club. If Glauco Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Edgar Veiga fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fiori Capixaba, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to Capitaozinho getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Nilson Branco hit a great ball. Eliseu França fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudu Quintal having to interfere. After 93 minutes, Reinaldo Goiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capitaozinho and the Iraty Falcons Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 93 played minutes Capitaozinho got a freekick which was hit by Reinaldo Goiano. Dudu Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson Rodrigues in the 96th minute of play.
