In the 26th minute Dito de Lara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Göran Bolin charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Edgar Fontes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dito de Lara. The Spartan Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Edvaldo Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginaldo Fantini in the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of lages esporte clube booed when Spartan Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastião Dante received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Sebastião Dante took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Fontes.
