The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vito Dias was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Mandioca FC booed when Pinguços EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Recife in the 56th minute of play forced Pinguços EC's goalkeeper Durval Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gilson Maciel came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Mandioca FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gilson Maciel couldn't finish the play. César Negri hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Gilson Maciel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mandioca FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 78 minutes into the game, Mandioca FC's Gilson Maciel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Durval Sanches made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Gilson Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Mandioca FC's Arthur dos Santos got a free kick in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Mandioca FC had played much better football throughout.
